Faith Connection Covenant Church is a new church in Washington, KS.
It began with a small group at the parent church (Clay Center Covenant) in Clay Center dreaming about bringing what they had to Washington. A group formed and began praying about it in 2009. After lots of prayers and over time the group formed into a bible study. That bible study formed into a Launch Team and on October 6th, 2013 it launched its weekly worship services.
We meet at 1803 Wilson Dr, Washington, KS. It's the red barn just South of Washington and just North of Bradford Built on the East side of the road.

Life works best when guided and deeply influenced by His word.
We were created to create and innovate in a way that makes God real in the world around us.
God's message was for all people and so is Faith Connection. We strive to include everyone in participating in God's work in Washington. We feel this is one of the best ways to introduce people to the life-changing relationship with God and His hope for our lives.
The Good news of God affects all aspects of our life and drives us to care for people in all areas.
Families are important to God and so they are important to us.
We are all about the "capital C" church. We are better together.
We feel that our church is called to minister to the entire Washington area and that our actions should impact the entire community and "make a difference." Our hope is that this mission excites you as much as it does us. If so please join us in "making a difference" in the Washington area.

Rustin and Joy met in College at Pittsburg State University (go Gorillas!) and married in 2004. They have three young boys and have been serving the Washington area since 2013. Joy works as a 2nd-grade teacher at Washington County Schools and as director for Power-Zone (the after school program).
Hello, my name is Rustin McClure and I just wanted to take this space to introduce myself. I grew up in a rural area of SE Kansas. This heritage has given me a unique passion for seeing churches planted in rural Kansas.
Prior to becoming a church planter, I made my living as a firefighter on the Wichita Fire Department. During my time on the department, I got to see first hand how messed up the world we live in truly is. The time I spent running call after call to shootings, drug OD's, stabbings, suicides, drownings, burns (you get the idea...) convinced me without a shadow of a doubt that this world is truly hopeless without Christ. It was from this that I was led to go back to my heritage (rural Kansas) and reach out to those not being reached by His message.
I came into contact with the Clay Center Covenant Church because I had heard they were actively working on a church plant in rural Kansas. Our relationship developed and they called me into ministry to take point on the Washington church plant that is now Faith Connection. I'm beyond excited to be part of what God is doing in Washington.
I'm a simple guy and have pretty straightforward ideas for ministry. I figure the more it looks like the way Christ lived His life the better off we are. If Christ fed the hungry (He did) then maybe we should do that. If Christ spent time in prayer (He did) then maybe we should also. Not rocket science, but practically implementing the lifestyle that Christ modeled.
More suggestions? Click on Contact and send them my way and we'll get them added.
There are a few different ways that you can support Faith Connection and what God is doing.
The number one way to support Faith Connection Covenant Church is to do so in prayer. Prayer is something that we deeply value at Faith Connection. We firmly believe that all that has been accomplished so far at Faith Connection and all that will come happens because of prayer.
Faith Connection is a growing church that is still filling in most of its ministries. If you are interested in helping in any way ... from playing in the band, running a soundboard, video, small groups, event planning, prayer team, setting up on Sunday morning or any other way you think you can be helpful then let Rustin know or drop him an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you are interested in helping move the mission of "making a difference" of Faith Connection forward then we invite you to help financially by sending support to ...

We meet every Sunday for what we call our "Weekly Worship." Worship is far more than just singing to God. It is a time that we set aside weekly to sing together, learn together, give together, encounter God together, talk and share our lives together. (we also drink coffee together)
Sundays at 9:30 am
The service usually lasts a bit over an hour. However, everyone sticks around and visits afterward and enjoys coffee and sweets.

What about Children?
We love children and provide a nursery for young children. We do this so that parents can relax and focus during the service. Parents are free to make use of this or not at their own discretion. Our messages are tailored for the entire family and most children will engage and get something from each Sunday.
Whatever you feel comfortable in. It is an informal environment and we want people to feel comfortable and like themselves. Rustin delivers the weekly message in jeans if that is an indicator for you.
We commit to never use any information that you have provided us for gain or undesired contact. Thank you for your interest in Faith Connection.
